SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED TO COLLEGE OF BUSINESS STUDENTS BY COB DEPARTMENTS

Each scholarship will have its own unique guidelines in terms of criteria, frequency and timing of awards, the application and forms, deadlines and submission processes.

COB students with application questions should direct them solely to the staff in the COB Dean's office at 713-221-8017 or via email to cobinfo@uhd.edu.

When scholarships are awarded, recipients will be provided contact information in order to express their thanks and appreciation to the appropriate scholarship sponsor. 
UHD scholarships are awarded in accordance with all UHD regulations pertaining to nondiscrimination.

FITE Scholarships

 

FITE Scholarship Deadlines:
These scholarships must be submitted between January 1st and May 31st each year (for the following academic year).

Scholarships:
There are many scholarships available through FITE and can be viewed on their scholarship page. The scholarships vary for all IT students as well as members of specific chapters.

Mission:
The Foundation's mission is the professional development of individuals in the Information Technology industry.

Research:
The Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that was established in 1975 to meet the changing educational requirements of the information profession and industry, and to address the long term educational efforts essential to support the industry and members of various IT-related professional organizations.

The Foundation for IT Education, as an independent body representing practitioners, educators and researchers, seeks to provide leadership in identifying educational opportunities that will advance the information systems profession. (from website)
